Dua ledakan saat kejuaraan tinju amatir menggegerkan Filipina, Kamis (29/12). Media lokal menyebut 10 orang tewas dan 20 orang lainnya luka-luka. Ledakan pertama terjadi pada Rabu malam sekitar pukul 21.00 waktu setempat saat perayaan fiesta di Hilongos, Leyte.

Sementara, ledakan kedua dari bom rakitan (IED) terjadi di kejuaraan tinju di Barangay Central Poblacion. Rappler mengutip pernyataan juru bicara Presiden Rodrigo Duterte, Ernesto Abella soal 10 orang tewas dan 20 orang luka-luka.

Abella sebelumnya menyebut 27 orang luka-luka. Ia mengatakan pada Sun Star belum mendapat informasi lebih lanjut soal insiden. "Hingga saat ini, belum ada laporan yang menyebut ancaman bom atau klaim pihak yang bertanggung jawab," kata Abella, dikutip RT.

Seluruh korban luka dilarikan ke rumah sakit lokal di Hilongos. Juru bicara militer regional, Letnan Cherry Junia mengatakan penyelidikan awal menunjukkan bom adalah alat ledak buatan rumahan yang diledakan dengan ponsel.

Kepala polisi Hilongos, inspektur Alberto Renomeron mengatakan pada GMA Network, dua IED meledak namun satu lagi berhasil ditemukan sebelum meledak. Belum ada pihak yang mengklaim serangan. Penyelidikan dan penyisiran wilayah masih berlanjut.

Two explosions when stir Philippine amateur boxing championships on Thursday (29/12). Local media called the 10 people were killed and 20 others injured. The first blast occurred on Wednesday night at around 21:00 local time when the fiesta celebration in Hilongos, Leyte.

Meanwhile, a second explosion of a homemade bomb (IED) happened in the boxing championship in Central Barangay Poblacion. Rappler quoted presidential spokesman Rodrigo Duterte, Ernesto Abella about 10 people were killed and 20 people injured.

Abella previously called the 27 people injured. He told the Sun Star has not received further information about the incident. "Until now, there has been no report that calls a bomb threat or responsible party claim," said Abella, told RT.

All victims were admitted to a local hospital in Hilongos. Regional military spokesman, Lieutenant Cherry Junia said initial investigations showed the bomb was homemade explosive device that detonated with cell phones.

Hilongos police chief, superintendent Alberto Renomeron said on GMA Network, two IEDs exploded but one more was found before it exploded. There has been no claim of attack. Investigations and sweeping the region continues.
