Guardiola sendiri kedapatan hadir saat The Reds melibas Stoke City 4-1 di Anfield. Menurut Klopp, kedatangan Guardiola ke markas Liverpool menandakan pertandingan akhir pekan nanti bakal spesial.
"Saya mendengar Pep Guardiola berada di stadion tadi malam, saya tidak yakin dia menyaksikan banyak pertandingan dalam beberapa pekan terakhir dari stadion lawan, tapi ini adalah petanda awal bahwa ini laga yang spesial dan kami sudah tak sabar untuk menghadapinya," ujar Klopp yang dilansir laman resmi Liverpool.Klopp menilai laga ini adalah pertarungan dua klub hebat di Liga Primer Inggris, di mana Liverpool-City saat ini menduduki posisi kedua dan ketiga dengan dipisahkan jarak satu poin.
"Ini bakal menjadi laga yang sulit bagi kedua tim. Akan tetapi, menyenangkan dan kabar baiknya adalah kami akan memainkannya di Anfield. Saya benar-benar tak sabar dengan pertandingan ini."

"I heard Pep Guardiola was in the stadium last night, I'm not sure he watched a lot of matches in recent weeks from the stadium opponent, but this is signified the beginning that this game is special and we're looking forward to it," said Klopp told pages Liverpool's official.
Klopp judging this fight is a battle of two great clubs in the Premier League, which Liverpool-City currently occupy second and third positions separated by a distance of one point.
"It will be a difficult game for both teams. However, the fun and the good news is that we will play at Anfield. I was really looking forward to this match."
"They are really a great team, and we are too. So, of course this will be a great game," said the former coach of Borussia Dortmund.
