Rexy Mainaky tak lagi masuk susunan pengurus PP PBSI. Tidak mempermasalahkan, ia pun punya pesan khusus buat Susy Susanti yang menggantikan posisinya.
Ketua Umum PP PBSI Wiranti sudah mengumumkan pengurus PP PBSI periode 2016-2020 pada hari Minggu (4/12/2016) kemarin. Salah satu perubahan adalah di sektor ketua bidang pembinaan dan prestasi.
Selama kepimpinanan Gita Wirjawan, posisi kabidbinpres ditempati Rexy. Di kepengurusan Wiranto, posisi itu diserahkan ke Susy yang sebelumnya menjabat sebagai staf ahli.
"Saya tidak ada masalah nama saya tidak ada dalam kepengurusan yang baru," sebut Rexy lewat pesan singkat kepada detikSport, Senin (5/12).
"Tunggu tanggal mainnya saja, ya. Kan kita juga baru selesai (bertugasnya) sampai akhir Desember," lanjut Rexy ketika ditanya lebih lanjut mengenai rencananya ke depan.Rexy kemudian juga memberi pesan buat Susy dalam menjalankan tugasnya nanti, dengan harapan pembinaan prestasi bulutangkis Indonesia akan terus bertambah bagus. "Kerja keras lagi buat menjadi yang terbaik," tuturnya.
Posisi kabidbinpres menjadi sektor krusial mengingat PBSI sudah ditunggu ajang-ajang bergengsi, yang akan jadi indikator sukses tidaknya kepengurusan, seperti All England dan Piala Sudirman pada tahun 2017 mendatang. Selain itu ada pula ajang Asian Games 2018 di negeri sendiri dan kemudian usaha merintis jalan untuk meraih prestasi terbaik di Olimpiade 2020 Jepang.
