Polda Metro Jaya menetapkan nakhoda Kapal Motor Zahro Expres sebagai tersangka kasus terbakarnya kapal tersebut saat berlayar menuju Pulau Tidung, Kepulauan Seribu, Jakarta. Dalam kebakaran tersebut, 23 orang meninggal dunia.
"Sudah tersangka dari kemarin sore" ujar Direktur Polisi Perairan Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Hero Hendriatno Bachtiar dalam keterangan tertulis yang diterima, Jakarta, Selasa (3/1/2017).

KM Zahro Expres terbakar Minggu pagi 1 Januari 2017, di perairan Kepulauan Seribu. Saat itu kapal berangkat Pelabuhan Muara Angke menuju Pulau Tidung. Namun, setelah berlayar 1 mil, kapal terbakar.
Sebanyak 23 orang telah meninggal dunia dalam kejadian tersebut. Jenazah para korban KM Zahro Expres tersebut telah dibawa ke RS Polri, Kramatjati, Jakarta Timur.
