Menanggapi keputusan Pemerintah melalui Kementerian Keuangan yang memutuskan semua hubungan kemitraan dengan JP Morgan Chase Bank NA, anggota Komisi XI DPR RI, M Sarmuji mengatakan, sikap Menteri Keuangan sudah tepat mengingat secara fundamental ekonomi sekarang Indonesia masih kuat. Dari sisi fiskal, saat ini APBN dinilai lebih kredibel.

Menurutnya, Sri Mulyani begitu menjabat sudah langsung mengetahui ada potensi masalah di bidang fiskal dan segera mengambil langkah penting perbaikan. Hasilnya anggaran negara tidak mengalami kontraksi dan pemerintah mampu menjaga anggaran sehingga defisit di bawah 3 persen. "Kita mampu menyeimbangkan antara sisi penerimaan dan belanja," kata Sarmuji di Jakarta, Rabu (4/1).

Ia menjelaskan dari sisi stabilitas harga, inflasi hanya 3,02 persen merupakan prestasi terbaik sejak 2010. Dari sisi kurs rupiah, rupiah relatif terjaga di tengah isu capital out flow akibat thrump effect dan kenaikan suku bunga Fed.

"Jadi, jika JP Morgan menurunkan peringkat Indonesia karena efek Thrump sejauh ini fundamental kita dinilai pasar tidak ada yang bermasalah," ujarnya.

Politikus Golkar ini justru mempertanyakan sebenarnya ukuran apa yang dipakai oleh JP Morgan untuk melakukan penilaian, sementara lembaga pemeringkat yang lain memberikan penilaian yang positif terhadap Indonesia. Lebih lanjut dikatakannya, pemutusan kerja sama dengan JP Morgan tidak akan berpengaruh terhadap program tax amnesty.

Peserta tax amnesty masih bisa menyetorkan dana melalui bank persepsi yang ditunjuk pemerintah yang jumlahnya puluhan. Selain itu diperkirakan pada tahap ketiga tidak akan terlalu banyak lagi setoran negara yang masuk karena tarif tebusannya lebih mahal daripada periode pertama dan kedua.

"Ke depan dalam memilih bank persepsi diharapkan pemerintah memilih bank yang bisnis utamanya menghimpun dana saja, bukan lembaga yang juga dapat menilai peringkat dan menilai risiko suatu negara," katanya.

Sebelumnya, pemerintah melalui Kementerian Keuangan memutuskan semua hubungan kemitraan dengan JP Morgan Chase Bank NA. Alasannya, riset yang dibuat bank asal Amerika Serikat (AS) tersebut dianggap mengganggu stabilitas sistem keuangan nasional.

Keputusan pemerintah mengakhiri hubungan tersebut telah disampaikan Menteri Keuangan Sri Mulyani kepada JP Morgan melalui surat bertanggal 17 November 2016.
